Charles C. Min Hu lives in Vancouver, B.C. Canada and has been sculpting with both jade and ivory for 48 years, having had started in 1973. He graduated from the Shanghai Arts and Crafts Institute after 5 years of education. Charles came to Canada in 1988 to continue his art career. In 1989, he began working at three professional jade sculpting companies. By 2001 he had established his own studio where he was dedicated to creating his own style of jade and ivory artworks where he blended together Eastern and Western artistic styles.
I hope that my jade and ivory sculptures can contribute to the development of Canadian art.
